Frequently asked questions
The questions owners ask most, answered plainly.
Do I really own everything?
Yes. Your Claude, your Airtable, your Stripe. We host these help pages and the skill file you downloaded — nothing of yours. We hold none of your data, none of your keys, and none of your money, and we take no cut of what you collect. Cancel us and your business keeps running.
What does it cost to run?
You pay for your own Claude subscription (Pro starts around $20/month) and the normal Stripe processing fee on payments you collect. Airtable is free to start. There is no separate per-pool or per-customer fee from us.
What if I stop paying, or H Labs disappears?
Nothing of yours is trapped. Your data stays in your Airtable and your money stays in your Stripe — both keep working on their own. You can export your Airtable at any time. The skills live in a file you already have.
Is my data secure?
Connections are made through official sign-in screens (Airtable, Stripe, Google) — you never paste secret keys into a chat. Billing is limited to ordinary billing actions, and every charge or email waits for your explicit yes. As always, keep your own accounts protected with strong passwords and two-factor sign-in.
Can my customers see any of this?
No. Customers only ever receive the polished service report, a Stripe payment link or invoice, and — when you set up autopay — a Stripe-hosted link to add or update their card. Your database and dashboards are yours alone — they never see them.
Do I need to be technical?
No. After this one-time setup, you run the whole thing by talking to Claude in plain English. You won't open a spreadsheet or a dashboard for daily work unless you want to.
Which Claude plan, again?
Claude Pro is the right starting point — it allows uploading your skills and connecting more than one tool. Max adds usage headroom. See Before you start.
Can I use my existing Airtable and Stripe?
Yes — that's the idea. You connect the accounts you already have. For Airtable, just make sure the connection can create a base (see Connect Airtable); Claude builds a fresh Pool Service database and leaves your other bases untouched.
Have a question we didn't cover?
The quickest answer is often to ask Claude directly while you're working — it can explain what it's doing and why.
