Updating later

As the skills improve, your database occasionally needs a small tune-up to match. It's one sentence, and it never disturbs your data.

When there's an update

From time to time we'll release improved skills — a new capability might need an extra field or table in your database. When that happens, you download the updated skills the same way you did the first time, then ask Claude to run setup once more:

Say this to Claude

Run my Pool Service setup again to apply any updates.

Claude compares your database to what the latest skills expect, shows you the small set of additions it wants to make, and — once you say yes — applies them.

It only ever adds — never removes
Updating is safe by design. It adds any new structure the skills need and leaves everything you already have exactly as it is. It never deletes a table, a field, or a single record. Your history and your customers are never at risk.

How to get the updated skills

Head back to Install the skill, download the latest package, and upload the one file in Claude just as before — a skill with the same name replaces the old one, so it's the same single upload as your first install. Then run the setup sentence above.

Nothing breaks if you wait
There's no rush and no forced update. Your current setup keeps working. You apply an update only when you want the new feature it unlocks.
